What's Your Goal?

Dear Social Workers,

When was the last time you took an inventory of your life? Have you been achieving your goals or intentions? What is your vision(s)? In what areas would you like to enhance your life? What steps would be needed?

Goal setting is a key skill in social work practice. Goals are generally broad and measurable, realistic and attainable. If you were to design one new goal today, what would it be? It can be personal or professional. One goal I would like to redesign is pertaining to my health routine ... the "exercising" portion. Here goes:

Goal: To enhance my fitness regimen.

Objective: To engage in a form of exercise at least 3x per week.

Action Step: Locate fitness videos no later than November 1, 2021 that would

meet my workout needs.

Action Step: Begin the first video no later than November 3, 2021.

That was a pretty easy goal. However, sometimes goals may take a lot more thought. To support you in goal development. I have included this handy little Personal Goals Workbook to get you started. Enjoy your goal development journey!
